FlyTrap Reproduce Reviews

Every one-star review
is a bug report.

Your users found the bug months ago. They wrote three words about it and left one star. FlyTrap crawls the build, finds the failure behind the sentence, and hands you the repro.

Three reviews, three wordings, one failing scenario Matches under 40% never reach the report
Why the review folder goes stale

A sentence is not a repro

Nobody can act on "tablet login error". No version, no device, no steps. It gets a canned reply and a label, and the bug ships in the next build.

  1. 01

    The review lands

Three words and one star. No build number, no device, no path through the app. A symptom with nothing under it.

  2. 02

    Support asks for more

A reply goes out asking what happened and on what phone. The user uninstalled two weeks ago and is never opening it again.

  3. 03

    Nobody can reproduce it

It works on the test device. Without the tablet, the locale, and the state behind it, the ticket closes as not reproducible.

  4. 04

    It ships again

The next build carries the same failure, and the next review says the same thing in different words.

How a link gets made

The crawl already found it

Matching needs both halves at once. The store supplies the complaint. The run supplies a bug with evidence under it. We hold them against each other.

  1. 01

    Read the store

Every review on both stores, in every language you ship to, with its rating, its version, and its date.

  2. 02

    Crawl the build

The exploration run fails scenarios on real devices and keeps the steps, the logs, the traffic, and the screen it died on.

  3. 03

    Match on the symptom

A review says what the user saw. A bug says what the app did. The link is made on that overlap, not on shared keywords.

  4. 04

    Score it, then explain it

Each link carries a percentage and one sentence saying why it was made. Anything under the threshold never reaches you.

Confidence in the open

A link is an argument, not a verdict

Every match shows its score and the reasoning behind it, so throwing one out takes a second and keeping one takes no faith.

  • Strong match 70% and up
  • Likely match 55 to 69%
  • Possible match 40 to 54%
  • Dropped under 40%

What a link gives you

  • The review, its rating, and the version it was left on
  • A bug with steps that reproduce it on a real device
  • Logs, traffic, and the screen the run died on
  • Every other review that reads like the same failure
  • A count of the stars sitting on one fix

What we do not claim

  • That the reviewer hit the exact session we crawled
  • That a high score makes the link true
  • That an unmatched review is a review about nothing

Plenty of one-star reviews are about pricing, a courier, or the weather. Those never get a bug attached, and we would rather show you a short list you trust than a long one you stop opening.

What reviews really are

The largest QA team you never hired

Millions of sessions on hardware you do not own, in locales you have never tested, filing reports eight words at a time.

  • They test what your lab cannot

Four year old tablets, a train tunnel, a locale that writes dates backwards, a font size nobody designed for. Your device rack holds a dozen phones. The store holds everything else.

  • A rating is a queue, not a trophy

Stars sit at the top of the install funnel. Once you know which bug is holding the number down, the backlog stops being a list of opinions.

  • Nine languages, one bug

Reviews arrive in every locale you ship to. Matching runs after translation, so a Turkish review and a German one land on the same line in the tracker.

The reordering

Your backlog, sorted by the store

The same bugs your tracker already had, counted by how many users wrote about them and what it cost in stars. Severity was your guess. This is the receipt.
